Marla Valdez

Marla is the Managing Partner of the firm's Central Asia
practice. She founded and manages the Almaty and Tashkent
offices and the firm's association with AK Counsel in Turkmenistan.
She has resided full-time in Central Asia since 1993. Marla
has advised clients on a range of investment projects in the
region.
Marla's particular specialty is in energy and infrastructure,
mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory and compliance matters.
Marla is recognised as an oil and gas and mining specialist. She is
consistently named in the Oil & Gas, Mining, CIS and Business
Lawyer sections of Who's Who Legal and has been identified as a top
energy expert by Expert Guides to the World's Leading Lawyers –
Best of the Best 2008 - 2010. Chambers Global Kazakhstan 2011

Kazakhstan Petroleum Association.
