National Governments
The uncertainties in the current economic
climate and the need to find substantial savings are putting
unprecedented pressures on national governments. Governments need
to make tough, politically sensitive decisions to achieve the
necessary savings to address the huge budget deficits that have
arisen following the global economic crisis.
At the same time, there are constant
demands for new and improved services across all areas of
responsibility, including: defense, security, transport and
infrastructure, energy, health and education. In each
case, any investment decision needs to be considered on the
basis of affordability and value for money.
There is the potential for harnessing private
sector experience and funding, but this must be done in a way that
addresses any concerns over control of vital services and ensuring
best use of government funds.
SNR Denton has been involved in working at senior levels with
government departments and ministers across the world. We have
advised on setting up and structuring whole industries and on deals
for the transformation of relationships between government and
industry.
Our understanding and knowledge of both national government and
the industry sectors with which government interacts means that we
are well placed to provide targeted, authoritative advice to
support the needs of our national government
clients.
