Government Contractors and Grantees

Securing funding from public sources is often the best choice for both established and emerging growth companies. However, competition is steep because of the popularity and openness of opportunities for these funds. Partnering with governments, whether through tax credits, direct grants, public private partnership (PPP) initiatives or other programs also involves significant compliance and reporting requirements that must be managed to ensure the smooth flow of funds, and limit risk exposure to companies that receive those resources.

From the initial stages of project planning through to negotiation of contract award and compliance, our team of professionals offers substantial experience to private sector clients and non-profit entities that seek funding from public sources. When the need arises, our disputes practice encompasses disputes relating to contract performance, contract award controversies (bid protests), regulatory and accounting issues, civil and criminal False Claims Act investigations and litigation, and disputes between prime and subcontractors. We have also successfully developed governmental programs and developed RFP’s and invitations for those programs for public sector clients.

We work in partnership with our clients to identify potential funding sources, ensure that responses to governmental invitations are crisp, technically sound, and structured to meet the demanding requirements of public sector contracting and grants, and work with legislatures to direct funding to our client’s proposed initiatives.

SNR Denton has closed hundreds of public private partnership projects, has helped develop policy on groundbreaking projects, including roads, courts and custodial centers. Our PPP/PFI practice has a diverse client base, a broad range of in-depth sector expertise and a significant international dimension.
