Accountants

The Accountancy sector faces an ever-increasing demand for global services, sector focus, flexible and innovative solutions and an outstanding level of client service. All of these must be provided within the confines of increased regulatory controls and enhanced global risks. SNR Denton understands the complexities of these competing needs. We advise all the leading accountancy firms and pride ourselves on delivering practical and commercial solutions to local and international issues. We help our clients mitigate risks and meet the changing needs of their own clients.

At the core of our offering to our accountancy clients is SNR Denton's Restructuring and Insolvency Group. The group is one of the largest, most highly regarded, teams of dedicated specialists in the World. The legal directories consistently recognize many of our partners as market leaders.

Restructuring needs are no longer purely domestic. We live in a global marketplace and our clients need advice wherever they may trade or invest. They need lawyers who can advise with confidence on competing jurisdictions around the World. We meet those needs through our core team in London, New York, Chicago, Paris and Dubai. Our network of international offices in Europe, the US, the Middle East, the CIS, and Africa enable us to respond quickly and confidently to whatever challenges may come our clients’ way.

We regularly work alongside Accountants in their role as Insolvency Office holders in complex insolvencies and restructurings around the world. Insolvency Office Holders and Trustees are major players in insolvency proceedings in many jurisdictions around the world.  Supported by their domestic courts, and increasingly by international recognition statutes and protocols, they wield huge influence on the process and outcome of insolvencies and restructurings. They enjoy extraordinary powers and privileges. SNR Denton lawyers are at the cutting edge of the important new field of international recognition of Office Holders. This includes US Chapter 15 proceedings, UK Cross Border Insolvency Regulations 2006, and their equivalents elsewhere.

Many of our relationships with Accountancy firms extend well beyond restructuring and insolvency work; for example advising on the MBO of a niche practice, or acting as trusted advisors to firms of all sizes on sensitive liability and regulatory issues. SNR Denton are able to deliver sector knowledge and understanding in tandem with a full range of commercial legal services - such as corporate, finance, real estate, technology, media and telecoms, litigation, employment, intellectual property and tax.
