Our energy team comprises more than 100
lawyers covering all types of energy related work, making it the
largest dedicated energy legal practice in Europe. The team has
extensive experience of advising energy businesses on all types of
oil & gas projects. This experience has been built up over
60 years through oil & gas regulatory and project related
work in the UK, Europe, the Middle East, the CIS and Africa.
Many of our lawyers have worked in-house in energy businesses,
either before joining us or while on secondment, giving our energy
team a unique understanding of the oil & gas industry and
therefore ability to deliver industry based solutions in a timely
and focussed manner.
We have extensive experience of all aspects of
the LNG supply chain, from gas feedstock arrangements, to LNG
liquefaction and processing arrangements, LNG offtake and
sales agreements, both long term and spot sales whether on a
DES or FOB basis, regasification arrangements and terminal
access agreements. We also cover all aspects of LNG
shipping arrangements.
More recently we advised Grain LNG on the arrangements for the
UK's first LNG importation terminal and we also acted in connection
with the UK's two other LNG projects at South Hook and Dragon LNG.
Currently we are assisting LNG Japan in relation to various LNG
projects in West Africa, QatarGas on long term LNG SPAs and
the Government of Cyprus on first import of LNG and the related
terminal and gas sales arrangements to the state owned power
company.
