Highways and Roads

Investing in highway infrastructure, whether in the form of new construction, asset maintenance or network management is crucial to the developing and expanding of any economy. With the challenges facing publicly-funded investment, however, it is vital to look at new procurement models for infrastructure investment, while ensuring existing asset bases.

Large-scale maintenance programs ensure we are using the existing assets effectively and efficiently, allowing investments to focus on projects that promote value and bring maximum benefits to the economy.

SNR Denton has led this industry for many years. We understand privatization and were responsible for drafting the UK Government’s model DBFO (design build finance operate) roads contract, which formed the template of programs developed by many other countries. In connection with the £5 billion M25 project, we have updated the model to incorporate innovative solutions adapted to a heavily-used urban motorway network. Increasingly, technology is providing solutions to congestion management.

With our sector focus on energy, transport and infrastructure and technology, media and telecommunications, we fully understand the interplay between these areas.

Areas of Focus:

  • Project Finance and PPP/P3
  • Construction
  • Facilities Management
  • Technology
  • Procurement
  • Planning
  • Environment
